The types of jewelry in which the various First Ladies adorned themselves offers us an interesting lens through which to view a presidency as well as a specific time period in our country’s history. In reading the biographies and studying the photographs of our nation’s First Ladies, we were inspired by the beautiful pieces we saw not only in their official portraits, but in the photographs which captured glimpses into their everyday lives. From a delicate diamond flower brooch pinned at the collar of Francis Cleveland to the classic pearls and swirls draped around the neck of Jacqueline Kennedy we found a lovely accord from which to create our collection of pave flowers, swirls and pearls. Pearls have always been a popular choice among our First Ladies, steeped in history and known for their beauty and elegance. Our striking collection, crafted in faceted crystals and glass pearls, makes for an elegant and patriotic statement, which pays homage to our predecessors and the continuity of democracy.
